Collection: Fire Rated Safes
Fire rated safes are designed to protect valuable items from fire damage. They are built to withstand high-temperatures and flames for a certain period, usually ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours and evaluated by independent laboratories and then certificated.
Fire rated safes can also offer protection for paper documents, data media, digital media and cash from theft and water damage. There are several types and sizes of fire rated safes available on the market, depending on the needs and preferences of the customers.
Factors to consider when choosing a fire rated safe include:
- Items to be stored in the safe,
- the fire rating, the cash rating,
- the safe's locking mechanism,
- the interior features,
- and the warranty.
Paper Media Deteriorates at 170 °C,
Digital Media: CDs, and DVDs at 70 °C and, Digital Media: Magnetic Strips at 50 °C.
